How To Get There

 

By Road

Kidepo Valley National Park is accessible by road, though the journey is long and requires a 4×4 vehicle due to the rough terrain, especially during the rainy season. There are several routes from Kampala, the most common being through Gulu, Kitgum, and then to Kidepo, approximately 571 kilometers (about 12 hours drive).

 

By Air

The most convenient way to reach Kidepo is by air. There are scheduled and chartered flights from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airfield to Kidepo’s Apoka Airstrip, which takes about 2 hours. Flights can be arranged through domestic airlines like Aerolink Uganda.
